Kas Joy Glamping

We came from the Netherlands as a family of five and had a wonderful stay at Joy Glamping in Kaş. Selin and Tevfik are incredibly kind and welcoming, and made us feel at home. We used both a tiny house and one of the large outdoor tents, which worked really well for our family. The property is clean, peaceful and practical, with what you need for a comfortable stay. The mountain and sky views are stunning, especially at sunset and early in the morning. Breakfast from the open buffet was fresh and delicious, and Selin’s homemade cakes felt like a lovely personal touch. A great place to relax, switch off and sleep well while visiting the Kaş area.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and everything was clean and well looked after. The couple running this lovely place were so nice. We’d booked a tent, but they moved us to a mini cabin with air conditioning, since this Canadian girl wasn’t coping with the Turkish heat. It’s also very child friendly, and only a couple of minutes’ walk to the beach in my photos. Highly recommend staying here!

I tried one more night after my partner booked a hotel following the first, but neither of us enjoyed it. The garden looked tidy, which earned the one star. Sleep and safety were concerns. The tents are only about 3-4 metres from the next couple, so even small noises or snoring carry, and the bar noise doesn’t help. A woman next door talked loudly on her phone until 2:30am. I went to reception at 1am for help, but nothing changed. There are wild boars around Kas, outside the strict centre. We came very close to a female boar with babies about 50 metres from camp, which could be dangerous if you react the wrong way. There’s no pedestrian path from the city, so you have to walk 1.5km in the dark along a fairly busy road. The woman at reception barely spoke English, which unfortunately led to misunderstandings. This place isn’t for everyone, and I don’t think it’s worth the money.

We liked the tent and don’t mind camping, but that wasn’t what we booked or paid for. On Agoda we reserved a room with a private bathroom, walls and air conditioning. When we arrived at 8 PM, we were told it wasn’t available and had to use a tent with a shared bathroom instead. The receptionist said, “this always happens with Agoda, you can cancel and get a refund.” At 8 PM, though, where were we supposed to go? At checkout the owner blamed Agoda and neither apologized nor offered the roughly 30% price difference back or another solution. He asked for my WhatsApp number so I could send proof of the booking for his report to Agoda, but never followed up. The garden is lovely and breakfast was good, but customer service was very poor.
