The night manager first said the hotel was full, but then made sure I could get a room after I arrived at 4 a.m. off the train from Kars with no reservation. I’d booked for that night and was hoping for an early check-in, paid for, of course. He told me I could wait in the lobby, where there are several comfortable chairs, while a room was cleaned by 9. Soon after, he came back with a room and gave me quite a discount. It was ready to use apart from a missing cup, which I took from the next room when the cleaners weren’t looking. My room had everything else I needed: a comfortable bed with lights above it, a desk and decent chair, and a soft one for relaxing. It was clean, the bathroom was fine, and the Wi-Fi worked as it should. With the windows shut, traffic noise stopped being a problem. The railway station is across the road, so there were some train sounds, though not many, and I liked hearing them.

For the price, this hotel is superb. It has clean rooms, a Turkish buffet breakfast, an elevator, and a good location. Reception is open 24 hours, though it’s best to tell the hotel in advance if you’ll arrive late. The reception staff can speak English too. If I get the chance to visit Kayseri, I’d stay here again.

The breakfast had a really good variety, and the hotel was okay for one night. The room seemed clean, but the bin still had garbage and a cigarette from previous guests. It was quite noisy inside because the windows don’t seal very well, with lots of cars outside and trains honking at the station.

I arrived at 3 a.m. with no reservation, but getting a room was no problem at all. Such a wonderful, uncomplicated experience. I’d recommend it 100%, and would give even more stars if I could.
