Radisson Blu Hotel, Kayseri Hotel

We were very happy to stay at this hotel again. Ms Sevval in the Reservation department and Ms Selcan at the roof restaurant were especially kind and focused on guests. Thanks to all the staff, from reception to the cleaning ladies. I noticed the lady preparing “gozleme” in the “hot food” section and her colleagues doing their work with care and love. You can really feel it.

The staff were professional and very polite, and any small problems were sorted out quickly. The hotel is right in the city, so getting around is easy, and Mount erciyes is about 25 minutes away by car. There’s also a big shopping mall next door, which was nice to visit. The quality of the stay was very high, the prices seemed reasonable, and I'd happily come back. I can highly recommend it.

The only issue for us was the very low shower pressure in our ninth-floor room. Otherwise, the staff were friendly everywhere, from the valet and reception to the restaurant and roof top bar. Breakfast had a great selection, the Spa was very clean, and the gym was fully equipped, one of the best I've used in a hotel.

We couldn't get any rest in the Presidential Suite at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Kayseri, Turkey. The lobby was directly above the suite, with crowds and live music in the evenings, and cigarette smoke came into the room through the ventilation from the smoking area. This was despite the room being described as soundproof and non-smoking. We had booked in advance and upgraded to the Presidential Suite when we arrived. When we raised the noise and smoke with the hotel manager, they said there was nothing they could do. They acknowledged it was their fault that events were being held in the lobby, saying they usually don't have events there when guests book that suite. But they denied that smoke could get in, since the room was non-smoking. They refused a room change or compensation, relying on the room's soundproof and non-smoking designation. We stayed for the whole time because the suite had cost quite a lot, but got no reimbursement or other compensation. We couldn't reach a compromise or resolve the problem. The service fell far below what I expected from a Radisson, a global brand known for quality. We've stayed at Radisson hotels in other countries, and this was easily the worst service we've experienced. It's disappointing that customer satisfaction doesn't seem to be a priority here. I strongly recommend against booking the Presidential Suite. With the lobby right above it, getting any rest seems impossible.
