Viking Nona Beach

The pool was lovely, with very comfortable sunbeds (25). Our room was tiny and basic, though the balcony was almost as big as the room, which was a plus. The hotel next door could be noisy, mostly with music at night, while there was music here only one night a week. Shops and the main square are very close. We enjoyed the holiday overall, but the hotel is overdue for an update and refurbishment. It was last done in 2006. The food was acceptable but repetitive, and there wasn't much for children.

We stayed for a week in May 2026. The hotel gives access to beaches and shops, but the rooms are small and tired, with rock-hard mattresses and no English TV channels. WiFi in the rooms costs extra, and beach drinks also have to be paid for. The all-inclusive drinks selection is very basic: gin, vodka and Turkish spirit. Food was repetitive but okay. The hotel is mainly occupied by Russians. If that's what you're looking for, this could be the place.

For the price, Viking Nona Beach is a very good hotel. The location is excellent, just a one-minute walk from the beach, the rooms are tidy, and the staff are friendly. Food was tasty, with several kinds of meat and fish, lots of salads, and fruit. There are kid-friendly options too, including pancakes, eggs, yogurt and muesli at breakfast, plus soup at lunch and dinner. One small improvement would be to rotate the breakfast porridge, since it was rice porridge almost every day. The only real downside was noise from neighbouring hotel laundries. But that affects all Kemer hotels right on the beachfront, where the buildings are very close together. We'd definitely come back.

The atmosphere was unpleasant, and most guests in the town were Russian. Unfortunately, many behaved rudely, selfishly, and without consideration. I won't return to Kemer or this hotel. The biggest problem was kitchen hygiene. I accidentally wandered in and saw extremely unhygienic conditions. Cutlery was often dirty too, probably because the dishwasher wasn't working well. The food was very bad and monotonous. Breakfast and lunch were the same every day, with only dinner varying a little. Fruit was scarce and fish rarely appeared. This hotel doesn't deserve even two stars.
