RK Magic Dream Hotel

At €130 a night for a triple room for three people, I thought the stay was worth it, but above €140 I’d look elsewhere. The place could be really nice with a few improvements. There’s not much entertainment beyond the Sunday show from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., when the singer mostly does Russian songs. The game room is dated and shuts at 10 p.m. The baby-foot and ping-pong table are broken, the billiard table is ripped and missing balls, and the AC doesn’t work. The pool is tiny, maybe the smallest in Kemer, and only open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There’s no free bar on the beach, though you can bring your own drinks. Beach and pool towels require a deposit. We paid 50€ for six, could exchange them every two days, and often got wet, torn, low-quality towels. I’m not sure whether they’re cleaned or reused straight away. The food at lunch and dinner was tasty, and staff kept the restaurant clean. Breakfast, though, was always the same, with no variety or fruit. When meal time ended, they switched off the AC and lights while we were still eating, which felt pretty rude. At the pool bar, you have to ask the barman for each drink. There are only Sprite and cola, one beer, one red wine, and one white wine. Other alcoholic drinks and cocktails cost 7€ each. The hotel bar coffee was disgusting, and the juice was chemical-tasting syrup to mix with water, in just four flavors: apple, cherry, ananas, and orange. Rooms are clean, though a bit small, and have AC. They’re not cleaned daily apart from towel changes. The old shower leaks onto the floor. The minibar was empty and didn’t work, so we used the shared fridge in the lobby. Wi-Fi costs 1€ a day in the rooms and is free only in the lobby. The hotel itself is clean and quiet: rooms don’t face the main boulevard, and music stops at 23:00. The beach at ugur hotel beach is a 7mn walk. It’s family-friendly, staff speak Russian and Turkish, plus a bit of English, and coffee, tea, and juce are free 24/7. The staff respond quickly on WhatsApp and gave us a discount when we extended our stayfor 3 more days. The Turkish bath at the SPA is old and dirty. The spa staff were rude, unprofessional, and condescending, especially the blond woman working there, who fights with clients and colleagues every day. The massage itself was very good, at 30€/h. For airport travel, they offer a transfer for 50 € one way for 1-5 person. It’s easy to go by bus too: take A08 to antalya for 120 lira. It starts at 6:40 and runs every 20mn until 23:00. Get off at the mall migros, then take the airport bus havas for 170 lira, running every 1h. It drops you at domestic flights, where a free shuttle to the international airport runs every 10mn.
