We left early because my friend got sick and we didn’t feel safe. That sums up how badly this stay went. She spent 24 hours vomiting after eating at the buffet, where flies hovered over the food and guests put food back. The breakfast choice was basically fruit, cheese, bread and eggs, and the all-inclusive offering was very poor. The room was plainly dirty, with other people’s pubic hair on the bed and a stained bathroom that looked as if it hadn’t had a proper clean in ages. The hotel photos also didn’t match what we found, and I suspect some of the online images may be AI. The advertised balcony was really just a French window with a narrow ledge, no seating and barely room for one person. We had trouble communicating even simple questions, including with the staff member who was supposed to speak English. Junior staff were kind and helpful, but the managers didn’t resolve the hygiene problems. The drinks were disappointing too: the mojito was a little rum, lemonade and a lemon slice. We weren’t expecting fancy cocktails at a three-star hotel, just something that resembled one. There weren’t enough sun loungers, even though the hotel was only half full, and the overflowing pool made the area beside it slippery. The excursion representatives wouldn’t take no for an answer. As two white women, we felt uneasy because people were staring at us in a creepy way. And the private beach advertised by the hotel was nowhere to be found.

The hotel itself was okay for our four-night stay. The food barely changed from breakfast through dinner, and the pool music was awful. We also waited ages for them to play the song we’d requested. There weren’t any towels for drying your hands, so I asked reception for an extra one. The receptionist said he’d ask the cleaners to leave towels when they serviced our room, but the room was cleaned and none appeared.

Being so close to the sea made things easy. It’s a second-line hotel, but it has its own beach, just a 5-6 minute walk away, and the water was clean and warm. We also went on the Blue Lagoons excursion. The views were lovely and it was well organized. We had a really pleasant stay. The hotel is small, cozy and comfortable, with a nice pool and water slide. Everyone on the staff was friendly and ready to help. It felt relaxed and family-friendly. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

A really satisfying week, with friendly staff, good food and excellent hygiene. Everything felt just right for the affordable price. I was lucky to have such a wonderful holiday, and the service at that rate deserves credit.
