Kaya Palas Hotel

The breakfast was ridiculous, and the heating on the second floor was poor. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms are quite comfortable despite this being a three-star hotel. The beds are comfortable too, and the bathroom is clean and new. We’ve just arrived, and so far my first impression is positive: the exterior and lobby look very nice, and the corridors are in good condition.

The hotel is quite expensive, and the service doesn’t justify the price. We don’t plan to return or recommend it to anyone. The problems started at check-in: there was no hot water in the room, and no kettle to make formula for our baby. The room phone didn’t work, so I had to go to reception to report it. We’d arrived tired from our journey with the children, hoping to shower and rest, but after waiting two hours there was still no hot water or solution. These basic shortcomings hadn’t been mentioned before booking. When we told the staff, they said, "It can happen, there's nothing we can do." They made no effort to fix it, and guest satisfaction didn’t seem to matter. Poor value for money.

We had to leave because of an emergency, but they refused to refund our money. There was no concern or interest shown, and no respect for people. Don’t go there.
