Golden Lake Aparts

We had the apartment for two nights at the start of July 2024. It's very central, with the lake, shops, cafes, and restaurants all walkable. Inside it was tidy and very clean, just as shown in the pictures. There was air conditioning, a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and an extra bed. A couple more kitchen utensils might be useful. Mr. Hakkı did his best to help, and we had no issues. I'd recommend staying here. Wishing everyone a happy, peaceful, enjoyable holiday.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. We paid 2600 TL in cash, and I also paid 100 lira to have laundry washed. We weren't given anything for free. We had booked and paid in advance for two nights, but Mr. Hakkı made other arrangements and forced us out the next morning. He came to our door seven times on the day we arrived, each time for a ridiculous reason, even though we were newly married and had only just settled in. His greeting was sweet at first, but that changed quickly. We've stayed in many places and have never been treated with such disrespect. We are now staying somewhere else. My father and brother visited in the evening, had tea, then left and slept in their cars. They didn't stay overnight. My wife first saw Mr. Hakkı in the morning, when he said there was no problem. Fifteen minutes later he knocked and told us to get out of his house. When someone tells you to leave immediately, you leave without tidying up. He expected us to come tell him we were leaving after he said to get out in the middle of the night. He was the one who spoke to my wife about his high blood pressure and begged her. He also said I should have manners, but I know manners better than he does. We paid for the laundry, and he didn't give it to us free. Is this review because we need him, or so others won't go through what we did? He seems to rent the room to someone offering 100-200 TL more and put the existing guests out on the street. Don't go there.

The apartment was clean, which was the only good part of our stay. A power cut, trouble with the laundry service and an extra charge for laundry were among the many problems. The constant monitoring and calls made us very uncomfortable, and I've never left an apartment or hotel feeling this unhappy. The owner shouted at my child, which was the last straw. I think the owner has a personality disorder. I absolutely don't recommend this place to anyone wanting a decent holiday. Take care.

The apartment is only 100 meters from Lake Köyceğiz, with shops, cafes, and restaurants all within walking distance. It was spotless, with new furnishings and more than enough equipment. My wife and I stayed four nights in September, and Mr. Hakkı was extremely hospitable and helpful. We definitely recommend it. Thanks, Mr. Hakkı, and hopefully we'll see you again.
