Adora Calma Beach Hotel - Adults Only

We stayed an extra day at this lovely, fairly small hotel by the beach. The food was good and there was plenty to choose from. Our room felt a bit cramped, but having a balcony with a sea view was a big plus. The fridge was topped up every day.

The beach was nice and quiet, but the rooms were very basic and only superficially cleaned. The biggest issue was the staff: most were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and rude. We were also given just one room card, which was a real inconvenience.

We had a wonderful ten days at Adora Calma Beach Hotel and are already thinking about coming back next year. This was our second visit. The quiet beach was lovely for relaxing, and both the range and quality of the food were better than we expected. Cihan, our waiter, was especially friendly and attentive, and the hotel service was outstanding. Our room, renovated in 2023, felt modern and comfortable, like a luxurious place to unwind. Hygiene overall could be a little better, but it didn’t take much away from the stay. For an adults-only holiday in Turkey, it’s a peaceful, indulgent option.

I hate leaving a review like this, but our holiday was spoilt and I won’t be going back. We spent seven nights at the resort and, despite how lovely and immaculate our deluxe room with a hot tub and sea view was, there was very little to keep us occupied. There was no entertainment at all for six nights. The show on Monday, our last night, was amazing, but it was a shame it happened only once. The food was another letdown. There wasn’t much choice, nothing explained what the dishes were, and the same food was put out again from lunch at dinner. We barely ate. The hotel guests were about 95% Czech, and we found them extremely rude and hostile. We met only two British people during the whole stay. At checkout, I was handed a $100 bill for six bottles of beer. I was confused because we thought the package was all-inclusive. The explanation was that we’d ordered them before 10am and had to pay, but no one had told me that when we ordered. I said I wasn’t happy paying, and the manager called and threatened to contact the police if I didn’t. I’ve attached a photo of the bill. The bar and restaurant staff were absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble, so I’m grateful to them. The manager, though, was extremely rude. I feel awful leaving a negative review, but wanted to give others a heads-up.
