We left early as a family, even though we’d booked and paid for a full week. I’d avoid Adrasan Beach Club Hotel if you care about your time, health, and money. We asked about beach access before arriving and were told it was a couple hundred yards on foot. In reality, the dirt roads make the walk longer, and even the shortcut along a service path through construction on someone else’s property is over half a mile. The other routes take longer. The hotel also presents itself as full service, but meals are served in an open-buffet dining hall style. Tea and coffee outside breakfast cost extra, even though that service is often standard in Turkey. We had checked in advance that the room mini fridge worked because we needed to keep insulin pens cool. It didn’t. Maintenance took several hours, while staff tried to persuade us that mini fridges are always warm inside. Cleaning was mediocre at best, with rooms cleaned only every three days and requests between cleanings ignored. We had to ask three times to get blankets. Food was self-service, and the same dishes kept coming back until they were eaten or spoiled. We came across a few side dishes that had gone bad after repeated serving. At lunch, frozen food, often chicken nuggets, was fried almost every day, with no other option, so we drove to a nearby town instead. Dinner sometimes included grilled food, but staff rudely refused to serve the amount we requested. There’s a playground for children but little for adults, apart from an attempted karaoke activity. During the day, there isn’t much shade, and the tables and chairs are left in the sun. When we weren’t at the beach, we ended up reading or sitting in the shade of a tree. The hotel has its own section of beach, but it wasn’t well maintained. There were cigarette butts, beer bottles, and caps scattered around, and the sunbeds were dirty. At best, this place wastes your time and money. At worst, it’s a health hazard.

The grounds are lush and green, with animal statues around, some psychedelic and fun. Half-board breakfast and dinner were satisfactory, and the hotel bar prices were hassle-free, so having drinks there was a plus. Rooms were newly renovated, clean, tidy, spacious, and well lit. The air conditioning was very good and the water pressure great. The ammonium-based mini fridge smelled, though. Staff offered a room change right away, but we stayed put because the alternative was a little smaller. WiFi was free but very weak in the room, and there’s no Ethernet connection there. Mobile reception also dropped out at times. The public beach is 550m away, about a 7-minute walk. Take a boat trip and a diving trip. All the staff were helpful, polite, quick to respond, and very attentive. Special mention to Mr. Kıbrıs, who’s a great character with a vast amount of hotel business experience. He even gave us a free car ride when available and arranged our boat trips. If guests run into problems, he can help sort them out. Just ask politely for what you need.

The pool was white and the room filthy. There was no Wi-Fi. We asked staff twice to order a taxi, and they didn’t arrange it, even after promising they would. They also told us the bus from Adrasan left at 8:30, but it actually left at 8:00. We nearly missed our flight.

A modern place with a new design, clean and in a nice, quiet location. The staff were helpful, the services were good, prices okay, and the swimming pool is big.
