Hikmethan Otel

I really liked the shower setup at hikmethan hotel, with no climbing over a bath, which can be risky for me when there aren't grab rails and you have to hold the wall for support. The shower is on the floor, and there's a lovely sink and mirror, lots of hot water and plenty of fresh towels. Breakfast is Turkish style, healthy, and comes with plenty of Turkish tea, coffee and juice. The location is very central, about five to ten minutes' walk from the beach and centrum. There's an Adana kebab shop right across the road, where kebab is just 5 euros, and a hairdresser opposite as well at a very reasonable price. The staff are welcoming and friendly. They also offer laundry service, washing, drying and ironing clothes for ladies and gents. Put hikmethan hotel into booking.com and see for yourself. It's a great place for a budget holiday, and I'd definitely come back. If there were more than five stars, I'd give it ten! x

The location is good and the breakfast is excellent, but I can't recommend the hotel because of the room situation and the way it was handled. I booked a room with two beds and got one bed instead. At check-in, one man said the right room would be available the next morning. A different man then asked me to wait until 2:00 PM, but at that point I was told to wait another day, then another hour, and so on. I got so frustrated that I requested a refund for the nights I had left. The front desk eventually agreed after an argument. They wanted me to sign a contract saying I'd received the refund before they'd actually handed over the money. When I asked to get the money first, the staff member acted deeply offended, as if that was unreasonable. It's not personal, it's just business. There was no accountability, and the room conditions were unacceptable.

Muhammet, the owner, helped me find a good parking spot for my brand new car and took care of everything. I was happy I picked Hikmethan Hotel. The room was very good, and the beach is perfectly close by. Muhammet made my stay here very good.
