Kusadasi Rezidans

We wanted a night away from family while holidaying in Kusadasi, and found this lovely little place through Google. Ibo, the owner, said they'd only just opened, but they've already done a great job. We stayed in the top room with the Jacuzzi and that amazing sunset view. The staff went out of their way for us. When we got in later that night, they even sat and had a beer with us by the pool. They also suggested a fantastic seafood restaurant. A definite 5 out of 5 from us.

This is a residence rather than a hotel, with your own kitchen, and everything in our room was new and very clean. We first spent three days on the third floor because the fifth-floor penthouse wasn't available yet. There was no sea view from our room there. Once the penthouse opened up, we extended our stay by two nights. It was amazing, with views across Kusadasi, including the sea, castle, and marina. It also had a two-person jacuzzi. Air conditioning and hot water both worked perfectly. There’s no room service or daily cleaning, so you need to ask the residence staff if you need something. The pool is small but very clean, and they clean it every night. The staff were friendly and spoke English. Mr Ibrahim, the owner, really tried his best for guests and suggested some Kusadasi restaurants where we had excellent food for the price. A supermarket is on the corner. Kusadasi is a small city, and the centre is about a 5-10 minute walk away. For breakfast, there’s a Turkish bakery two minutes away with fresh bread, eggs, simit, and Turkish tea at very cheap prices.

I had a terrible three-day stay with my family and wouldn't come back. My things were stolen, the lift was broken, the water was cold, and there were bugs everywhere. We didn't even have a towel or fridge. Stay somewhere else or you’ll be very disappointed.

Dirty and dangerous. The lift had a bare wall, with the walls seeming to rush past as it went up and down. Someone could lose a finger. The floors were filthy, and the pool was so dirty we couldn't use it. Things also went missing from my room. I don't know whether it was hotel staff or street thieves, but the room security was awful.
