Hakan in the restaurant was especially kind. He'd come over to say hello, bring my coffee and water, and remember that my son and I liked bowls of eggs at breakfast, checking that we had enough protein. The family room was roomy, the hotel and room were clean, and the gym had enough equipment for a decent workout. We had a lovely nine-night family holiday, and most of it felt worthy of five stars. There were lovely desserts and a patisserie open 24 hours. The main buffet, though, got repetitive, with little variety from one day to the next. Food was often only warm, and the vegetables could be cold. If you like buffets, you'll probably enjoy it more than I did. We could book the on-site restaurants only twice, even though they never seemed full. There was also a small shower in the bathroom, and entertainment music ran from 10am to 11pm.

We had a really good week here. The food changed each day and was very good, and the staff were so friendly. There was even animation despite it already being October. It was my first visit, but I'd definitely return. My husband and I enjoyed it a lot.

The biggest downside for us was the pests. Whether we were by the pool or in the main restaurant, there were cats watching us eat, wasps around the pool, and flies near the buffet. The hotel seems to treat it as normal, but it really tested my patience. There was also constant selling around the pool, from the spa and watersports staff to someone who owned a Chinese/Indian restaurant in Kusadasi, offering transfers to get people to eat there. I'm not sure why the hotel allows that, maybe to support local businesses. Inside, the building is impressive, from the dramatic lobby and reception to the generous Deluxe room we had with a side sea view. The staff, from reception to housekeeping and the restaurants, all seemed lovely. The entertainment team brought great energy, and outside acts included acrobatics, dancing, and a fire show. As vegetarians, we were happy with the food: lots of fruit and salads, plus decent hot vegetable options. We also found plenty of pool beds each day. Some people saved them before the 10am notice, which could be frustrating if you care where you sit. There isn't much within walking distance if you want an evening stroll. A taxi into Kusadasi costs €8, or you can take the €1 bus. I'm not much of a beach person, which was fortunate, since there's not much beach there.

The beach was clean, though there were rocks and seaweed about three metres into the water, so water shoes would sort that out. The pools and buildings are lovely, the food was tasty with plenty of choice, and the service felt five-star. I had a great holiday and really appreciated how professional the staff were. Highly recommend it!
