Shadow Hotel

Breakfast was good, and the pool was cleaned regularly because it's under trees. The rooms were cleaned, but with dead mosquitoes and insects on the walls, it was hard to believe it. There were mosquitoes everywhere, some dead on the walls, and a huge gap in the bathroom where more kept getting in. My room was tiny, with no refrigerator, hairdryer, or kettle. It had a mattress inside a box for a double bed, and I got bruises getting in and out. The balcony door was around 1.50 meters tall, half wood and half PVC, and I stayed in a very small room. The hotel is old and, to me, uninhabitable. Its cladding is falling apart, construction rebar shows, and the elevator and balcony are built on the outside. Even the interior stairs wobbled. The room had an iron balcony built outside, though I'd seen and liked a room with a concrete balcony. The photos looked fake or manipulated to me. I booked based on reviews in the app. Once I saw the room I wanted to cancel, but reception said they couldn't handle it because another subcontractor was involved. I stayed two days and couldn't cancel. The hotel is at a three-way intersection, so traffic is noisy, and there's a bar at the entrance playing music from morning to night, about 12 hours. The top floor is also a bar, but it was closed during my stay. I came to rest and couldn't get any peace. I don't understand how this place got a license or why it's listed as a hotel instead of a guesthouse or apartment. The rooms aren't even 14 square meters. Based on what friends and acquaintances told me, I think the reviews are fake. I've stayed in many hotels and guesthouses around Turkey for work and never seen anything this bad. How did it get a license?
