Hotel Stella

The family running this hotel were incredibly polite and helpful, and made us feel at home. It's one of the best budget hotels we've visited in Turkey, with a warm, welcoming feel. The location and views were lovely, and breakfast was a highlight, fresh, tasty, and a great start to the day. Highly recommended for a comfortable, memorable stay!

The view over the sea and harbor, with cruise ships, was great. It was quiet, clean, and felt safe, with friendly hosts who were very helpful. Our room had a balcony, comfortable beds, and a modern bathroom. There's a pool with sunbeds and a lift down to seaside level. The host came to the seaside road to guide us up to the hotel parking. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Great value for the money.

We booked two rooms on a lower floor but were upgraded for free to a higher floor, with a fantastic balcony view of the whole seafront. The owner, Omer, and the staff were so welcoming and nice, and made the stay feel well worth the price. The building is old but well kept and clean. The hotel is just steps from the main seaside street, restaurants, shops, and cruise ship ports. We definitely recommend it for the value and would stay again. One tip: don't rely on Google Maps, which sent us to a dead end on a very narrow, hilly street. Ask locals for directions.

I don't recommend this hotel for women traveling alone, as the streets on the way there didn't feel safe. The breakfast was good, and the chef was very nice and polite. Parking was also a problem. We asked where we could leave our car for two days while we were in Samos, and the staff insisted we use a private lot for 500 TL per day, saying there would be no street spaces. But there were plenty. When we parked on the street near the hotel, an older hotel worker yelled at us because the spot was in front of the building where he lives, and they park their car there. We said the streets don't belong to anyone and we could park there. We eventually found a spot easily in front of the port. The whole experience was bad. I don't recommend the place because that staff member was rude and unprofessional, and the owner saw what happened but did nothing.
