The building is impressive and the rooms are spacious, reminders of when this place was a five-star hotel. But the dated furniture and lack of upkeep inside make it feel well short of that rating.

Mikail at reception was a huge help when my phone died on the day I arrived. He quickly got me a new one, and spoke flawless English, which was a relief since my Turkish is very basic. Any hotel manager would want someone like Mikail at the front desk. I liked the room as well, with excellent bedding and a spacious bathroom. The hotel is about a twenty minute drive from the city centre, but taxis are plentiful, inexpensive, and usually come with little wait. I’d love to stay here again and highly recommend it.

It feels like a two-star hotel charging a five-star price. The building may look the part, but the rooms don't meet the standard and are missing many things. Air conditioning didn't work, the WiFi was very weak, and there was no concierge, welcome service, or other five-star features.

Never again. There was a cockroach in my room, and the rooms weren't clean. WiFi wasn't available in the rooms, they confirmed the air conditioning was switched off at night, and the gym equipment was very old. My travel agency booking had already been paid, but the hotel said it wasn't and charged me again. Shame on them. This is a two-star hotel.

I couldn't get the A/C below 27C because it was broken, so I turned it off and opened the windows for fresh air. I told management, but they couldn't do anything about it.
