Armella Hill Hotel

Yossuf, the lifeguard, was very friendly. We had a lot of fun with the activities too, thanks to the fantastic animation team. Angel was five-star, full of energy, and the whole team was amazing.

The hotel was clean and the food was good. I especially liked how welcoming and inclusive the animation manager Atilla, Angel,Tekin were. Yusuf, the lifeguard, was friendly and nice as well.

We paid for two rooms, but were given only one when we arrived, so we all had to sleep in the same room that first night. The offer afterward was just a two-hour late checkout, until 2:00 p.m., which didn’t make up for losing a full night. The key cards kept deactivating too. I had to go back to reception as many as seven times in one day to get back into the room. The food had little variety and the same dishes came around repeatedly. Some seemed to have been reheated from earlier days, which left me concerned about freshness and hygiene. Housekeeping felt superficial, mostly just changing the sheets, and the oversized pillows made it hard to sleep well. Reception’s response to my complaints was the worst part. They were sarcastic and unprofessional instead of trying to help. At one point, they said I could find another hotel if I was unhappy, but there would be no refund. The whole stay felt poorly managed and fell well short of reasonable service, cleanliness, or hospitality. This was one of my most unpleasant hotel experiences, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it. The problems started as soon as we arrived.

We chose the hotel expecting a quiet room away from the elevator, as requested in the booking. Instead, ours was right by the elevator and opened onto a terrace where people were partying loudly. That’s understandable on holiday, but we still needed some peace. The rooms were so poorly insulated that we could hear neighbors flushing the toilet, and the beds were lousy. There was also a pool facing a busy road, which I’ve never seen before. The hotel shops were the worst I’ve encountered and hardly usable. The hairdresser was the only shop I’d recommend. At check-in around 11 p.m. on Monday, the receptionist apparently spoke only Turkish and was busy on a private video call. My 12-year-old daughter was tired from the heat and jet lag and got a nosebleed while we were checking in. There was blood on her and the floor, and water was dripping from the ceiling. We asked for napkins, but none were provided. They gave us a garbage bag instead. The food was zero, and the staff service was only plus one. We had to get through the week and make it home. I can’t imagine ever setting foot in Turkey again. There are so many other countries and places more worth our money.
