Adora Hotel & Resort

The people in the kitchen have golden hands, the treats were delicious. Thanks to the pool cafe/pizzeria and patisserie teams too. At the kids club, Ms. Alesea was especially professional, upbeat, and spoke lots of languages. It’s a simple, good hotel where we had a nice time and came away with plenty of positive memories.

The beach was lovely, with warm water and plenty of sunbeds, and there was so much green space and room to spread out. We also enjoyed the tennis courts, pools, and the animators, who were always cheerful and kept finding ways to surprise us. Our room was spacious and clean, the staff were very friendly, and the restaurant had delicious options for every taste. We spent 10 magical days at Hotel Adora in Belek, easily the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Adora gets a solid ten from us, bravo. Honestly, if someone still finds a complaint when everything feels flawless, I don’t know what else they could expect.

The hotel itself is nice and very large, and the spa, tennis courts, and pools are all top notch. The taxi situation, though, put a downer on our trip. Reception gave us a taxi leaflet, and we were told fares included the return trip, but it doesn’t say that returns are excluded for certain destinations such as the land of legends. We paid £20 for a 9min ride one way, while the regular uber app showed a ride for 6quid. A return trip to the 'city centre', about 10mins away, cost 25 quid. The bus stops right outside every 30mins and costs 1 euro pp, so that seems the better option. Since the hotel supplied the leaflet, I assume they earn from it. I raised this with guest relations and was offered 3 euros back after paying in English pounds. I refused because it felt insulting. I was fortunate I could afford the taxis without worrying over the cost, but some people save for years to take a holiday and it seems unfair if the hotel is fleecing them. I’ve visited Turkey a dozen times and taxi drivers always try it, but this was the first time I’d come across a hotel being in on it. The taxi rank at the entrance says it all. I didn’t find much variety in the food compared with hotels along the lara beach stretch. The season had only started 5 days earlier, though, so perhaps they add more later.

Umut made us feel welcome every time, and was so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay, really enjoyed the warm atmosphere, and appreciated the excellent service and hospitality. We’d happily return.
