Barut Hemera - Ultra All Inclusive

We'd book here again if we return to Side. The hotel app was handy for ordering drinks and meals with QR codes, booking restaurants ahead, and checking other information. It's our last day at Barut Hemera, and the experience has been amazing. The service teams at the many bars and restaurants were first class and couldn't do enough for us. There was a full entertainment programme every day. It was lovely seeing so many children having fun at the mini disco before the evening show on the main stage. The beach is comfortable and easy to access. There are several pools, from a family pool to a quiet 16+ pool, as well as indoor pools, so there's really something for everyone. Thanks to the whole Barut Hemera team for making the holiday extra special.

The people at the beach bar and restaurant looked after us so well. Mustafa, you'll know the names of the coworkers who made our holiday special. You remembered our drinks and all of you worked like clockwork. I wish I could remember everyone's names, but my memory fails me. Every staff member in every area is a credit to the Barut chain. Check-in was swift, and from the moment we arrived everyone treated us courteously. The concierge took us to the room and explained things. The staff are what make this hotel, and I consider all of them equally important. Jonah at the 16+ pool kept me supplied with Turkish tea and coffee, and Osge and the lobby bar team were fantastic too. The food was tasty and the drinks terrific. We stayed at Barut Hamera in February 2026 and loved the grounds, especially the wood sculptures around the site. The room was lovely, with a generous balcony and a very nice shower room. It was a pleasant walk through the gardens to the beach. It's about a 30 minute walk into Side. Make time for the stunning ruins at the Temple of Apollo. I couldn't recommend this beautiful hotel highly enough.

We enjoyed our nine-night stay, but wouldn't return because the room noise made it hard to relax from 9 am until bedtime. There was no soundproofing, so we heard neighbours' TVs, furniture moving upstairs, and guests or housekeepers in the corridor. The doors also weren't soft-close and kept banging as people came and went. The room itself was lovely and had plenty of amenities. You could even request a special pillow if the standard ones didn't suit. The hotel has a good range of pools. We liked the adults-only quiet pool, but it's surrounded by swim-up pools, so children playing there can make it feel neither quiet nor adults-only. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. I'm not a cat person, but the cats around the hotel were well behaved and clearly cared for. They felt more like hotel pets than pests. I was impressed by how Barut Hemera looks after them, and think other hotels should do the same. Service was fantastic around the pool. Staff were friendly, rarely took long to offer a drink, and handled requests almost immediately. The buffet restaurant was the one place where service was hit or miss: one person covering each section seemed to struggle, plates were cleared, but we were rarely asked about refilling our wine. There was plenty of nicely presented food and drink, and it all tasted good. We preferred lunch at the beach bar, with its buffet, simple fresh dishes, fruit and salads. The Patisserie had much better coffee than the restaurants and great desserts.
