Sunis Kumköy Beach Resort Hotel & Spa - All inclusive

We were visiting family staying at the resort and wanted to buy the all inclusive option for the day. We arrived just before 10 a.m. and were quoted €100 per person for 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The evening program went until 10:30, so we asked to stay that extra half hour. The receptionist said no, and we had to leave our passports at reception to make sure we didn't overstay. I asked the receptionist to check the cost of a hotel transfer to our hotel at 10 p.m. It was €60, which we accepted, and we asked her to book it. At checkout, Kerstin walked away in the middle of our conversation to take a personal phone call. We were at reception on time, but the transfer wasn't there. At 10:10 I asked about it and was told it would arrive in five minutes. It actually arrived at 10:21. I still don't understand why staying through the end of the program was such a problem, especially when we had to wait for the hotel's transfer. Two days later, the hotel contacted the travel agency our family had booked through and pressured them to get us to delete our review. When we asked why we couldn't stay that extra half hour, we got no explanation or apology. Putting a family on holiday under that kind of pressure felt completely unprofessional.

The beach is fantastic, and so are the pools, food, drinks, and evening entertainment. For me, this is the best hotel on the best beach in Side, maybe even in all of Turkey. There's a huge, magical bazaar right outside, and Side marina is very close. Highly recommended 🤩👑🥇🏆

The staff made us feel at home from our first day to our last. Everyone we met was friendly, smiling, professional, and genuinely keen to make our stay enjoyable. Huge thanks to the whole team! 👏💙 Our room was spotless, nicely decorated, and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. The food was tasty and varied, with fresh choices at breakfast each morning. The location was convenient for getting around but still peaceful enough to relax. We enjoyed every moment and will definitely come back. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for its comfort, cleanliness, and especially its service.

If all you're after is decent food and a pool, this place may suit you. I wanted more to do, though, and found it a complete letdown. The bar shuts at midnight, and the dance parties last maybe two hours at most. The entertainment feels aimed at older guests, with bingo and karaoke. There's very little for kids during the day, and maybe something for them in the evening before the shows. I'd put this hotel in the category of a place for people who go to bed early, or perhaps grandparents travelling with grandchildren. Families hoping to dance at night should look elsewhere. It's definitely not for everyone.
