Wonder Life Hotel

The host was the best part for us, a really kind and helpful man. If we needed anything in the apartment, we only had to ask and it was provided. The place was well equipped and the WiFi worked well. Breakfast was tasty every day and changed from one morning to the next. The pool is small for spending the whole day beside it, but perfectly fine for a quick cool-off. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk, and there are lots of restaurants nearby, including a vegan one. It’s a great place for a longer stay in Side. If I come back, I’ll try to stay here again.

Breakfast was very good, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There’s a nice-looking pool, though we didn’t have time to use it. The location is convenient and has plenty of parking, and the staff were friendly and tried to help. I’d recommend the hotel. My only real complaints were the almost unusable WiFi and the so-called double bed, which was two single mattresses pushed together.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially in winter. One night was enough to see the problems. Our first-floor room had three windows and a balcony, but the windows were badly fitted, with huge gaps you could see outside through. It was freezing even with the air conditioner running. When I asked one of the owners for an extra heater, he insisted the room just needed more time to warm up. I pointed out the holes, but he wouldn’t change his mind, so I spent the night in a painfully cold room. The bathroom wasn’t clean when we arrived: the toilet hadn’t been flushed. The shower drain also didn’t work properly, and water spilled over onto the floor, leaving the whole bathroom like a puddle. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this room, even for one night.

The owner, Kadir, is the biggest reason we’d come back. He’s tactful and polite, keeps things comfortable for guests, and deals with problems quickly. We stayed for two winter months and would happily return for another holiday. Rooms are quiet and well furnished, with new air conditioners. The beds and linens were comfortable, and the thick blankets were light but warm. The 1 + 1 rooms are essentially apartments within the hotel, with a convenient kitchen and refrigerator. In winter, it’s especially useful that the room doors open onto the hall instead of directly onto the street. Apart-hotels like this are not easy to find in Side. It’s a very good alternative to an apartment, and the hotel lives up to its name.
