I really enjoyed my overnight stay and wish I’d booked more than one night. The hotel has a huge terrace that all guests can use. My room didn’t have its own balcony, but the view was terrific. I got up early for sunrise, and it was one of the best I’ve seen. Breakfast was amazing, with Turkish cuisine. It wasn’t buffet-style, but there was a lot of food, so solo travelers should arrive hungry. Everyone on staff was friendly, polite, and attentive. Harik at reception was especially helpful with what I needed, including arranging an airport shuttle. I’d definitely return if I get the chance to visit Mardin again.

We went to the hotel for a dinner night with a traditional sıra gecesi program, though we didn’t stay there. The music and entertainment were the best part, with strong singers, talented musicians, and a team that knew how to keep guests entertained. The atmosphere was lively and really enjoyable. The food was decent, not bad, though not gourmet. It was a crowded, busy night and service felt a little weak at times. Our fixed menu included fruit and dessert, which were forgotten at the end. Once we reminded the staff, they brought them over and handled it kindly. It was a fun, memorable evening.

We were so impressed that we changed our travel plans and stayed an extra night to enjoy more of the hotel and its facilities. Our Turkish Bath Suite was amazing, especially knowing that this part of the hotel is over 650 years old. We were there for one night in October, and check-in was quick and friendly. The hotel sits right on No. 1 Cadde, the Old Town’s main street, with sights, shops, and restaurants all close by. Mr. Savaş, the Manager, and the rest of the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious, with locally made butter, jams, and cheeses. Miss Hazal, our waitress, was so kind and attentive. From valet parking to reception and the waiters, everyone made us feel looked after. We’ll be back and recommend it to family and friends.

Our room, an abbara, was huge and stayed wonderfully cool in the hot summer weather. It has a fascinating layout, with an entrance above ground and an exit below, and is divided into sections. My parents slept in one and I used the other. It’s a double-entry room too. I really enjoyed my conversations with Mr. Diyar through the night. His detailed explanations about the hotel and the city made us very happy. Many thanks to him and Mr. Bünyamin for their hospitality..🥰

The hotel has a charming, authentic style and friendly staff, and we had a pleasant stay. The room was tidy, but the carpet needed a much better clean. It had crumbs and hair all over, and after walking barefoot for just 30 minutes, my white socks were grey. Our room was quite dark, with less lighting than we saw in other rooms. We had to rely on the bathroom light, which was inconvenient at night because switching it on would wake the other person. When we arrived, the kettle was burnt, the toilet seat cover was out of place, and the phone didn’t work. The kettle was replaced and the seat fixed right away; we used WhatsApp instead of the phone. Valet parking cost 100 TL per day in March 2025. Breakfast was decent, though I’d have liked more fresh options. It ran from 8:00 to 10:30, which was a bit late for us, and we couldn’t have it on check-out day. (March 2025) I’d suggest adding a “Do Not Disturb” sign. We didn’t want the room cleaned, but there was no way to say so, and housekeeping came in and threw away slippers we’d barely worn. It was kind, but wasteful. I’d also like an option to keep towels after one use, since changing them then feels unnecessary and unfriendly to the environment.
