The view is amazing, the hotel has a historic feel, the staff are friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. But the place needs maintenance and some TLC. A group of us stayed three nights and each of us had little issues. My room wasn’t very clean, the shampoo bottle was only half full, and there wasn’t much toilet paper. I had to ask twice for more. The shower rail was broken, so I couldn’t hang up the hose, and I had a few cold showers. Apparently, you have to ask them to turn on the heating. A few small fixes would make a big difference.

The WiFi was slow and sometimes erratic. Otherwise, a great location, not far from the old city but peaceful and quiet, with kind staff who also speak English. Nice terrace views and an excellent breakfast served at the hotel. Parking is usually possible at the school, about a three-minute walk away.

We were able to enjoy the quiet and lovely terrace views since the Mirstone Hotel is a short distance from the busy old town. Our room, Mir Bedirhan, was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were happy to arrange an early one when we needed it. Everyone was friendly and helped us plan our days. We skipped a group tour around Midyat and booked a private trip with the hotel taxi driver, Tahir Bey. It was the best choice. He took great care of us, helped us avoid crowds, and made sure we found what we needed. He’s trustworthy and well-connected. We highly recommend the hotel and Tahir Bey’s services.

The staff made sure my time in Mardin was as good as possible. They gave me helpful advice for making the most of my visit, sorted out travel arrangements, and served a great breakfast. Everything was very clean. I’m an older traveler, and I’d recommend this place to anyone. I don’t hesitate to give it five stars in every way. Many thanks to Samet Yunus Şeyhmus.
