Aegean Princess Apart Hotel

The beach was within walking distance, and the friendly staff made us feel at home. We'll definitely return next summer.

The extras made this hotel feel expensive. Air conditioning was £50 a week and the safe and TV cost extra too. A beer at the bar was pricier than at places outside. Still, it could work for a cheap break if you can manage without those add-ons.

The staff really made our two weeks here. Everyone was happy to help, even when guests struggled with the language, though we should try speaking Turkish too. Arif, the Bar Manager, is a really funny guy. We had a great stay and can’t wait to come back. There’s plenty nearby, with local shops, bars and restaurants roughly a 15-minute walk away depending on where you’re headed. The beach takes more of a trek, but the sea and hospitality there are worth enjoying. At the hotel, the pool isn’t huge but it was ample for us, with sunshine all day and music from around 10:30 in the morning until about 6 or 7. There’s a nice sunbed area, some seats under a canopy that I nicknamed the Love Island seats, and a pool table for 200 TL an hour. For football or rugby, they show games by projector on a big wall on the patio in the evening, or on screens in the sunbed area and bar/reception. We paid £35 to keep our room until 8pm on departure day. There’s also a £25 option until 4pm, but arrange it the day before. Our room had plenty of space for us, plus a microwave, kettle, fridge and a good patio. The shower water pressure was a bit hit and miss, though it was still fine for washing. Food at the Agean was good. I’d definitely recommend the chicken baguette. We ate out most nights, but enjoyed egg and sausage on toast most mornings too. The pool was a good size for our needs. The room was ample, and the food we had was satisfying. A holiday is what you make it, and the staff here made ours better. Thanks to all the staff at the Agean Princess. Our room was spacious enough for us and had a microwave, kettle, fridge and patio. The shower flow could be inconsistent, but it was usable. The food was good, especially the chicken baguette, and we were happy with breakfast. We ate out most evenings. Thanks to all the staff at the Agean Princess, we’ll be back.

The bedroom got far too hot, so I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed because of the baby. There was no air conditioning in the bedroom, which seems worth adding in such a hot country. The lift is tiny and very slow, and the cleaning wasn’t great: the floor was dirty and we had to ask for toilet paper. Getting a pushchair up the ramp felt dangerous because it’s so steep. I didn’t risk it and carried the pushchair down the stairs. The pool area was fine, there was always a sunbed, music was playing, and the bar staff were lovely and accommodating. It was a basic stay, but good overall and I don’t have too many complaints.
