Almena City Hotel

We were offered a "more spacious" family room at the Almena Hotel next door, part of the same group, but we seem to have drawn a terrible one. It looked hastily prepared, with tissues in the drawers and missing bed covers, which we asked for twice. The window glass was broken, as were the shower and the air-con remote, which stopped working overnight and left us unable to regulate it. The sink and fridge were disgusting. Worst of all, the single beds had two very new but extremely soft mattresses stacked on each, so you sank into them. We moved the mattresses onto the living room floor to avoid wrecking our backs. Owners, these rooms need a major refresh before being rented, especially at 90€ / night!

Ahmed manager and the team were amazing, with service at an exceptionally high standard. This is the best hotel I've visited so far. Definitely recommend it for a stay in Marmaris. Thanks again!

The location was good, but that's the only positive I can think of. The night staff were really mean, and the morning staff were only a bit better. Breakfast was bad, there was no hot water for tea, and I couldn't find coffee anywhere. The sink where we washed our hands leaked. They accused me of being drunk, which was insulting and ridiculous since I've never touched alcohol in my life. No WiFi, no hot water, no nothing. The coffee machine only worked for about three hours a day before being turned off. We stayed eight days, and nobody came to clean the room once. If you love yourself, don't come here. Worst hotel experience ever.

My favorite part was sitting on the terrace with a sea view, breathing in the open air and sea breeze. As an air sign, I felt refreshed out there. The hotel is close to the beach, and it was easy to take a minibus to İçmeler or elsewhere. The staff were so kind and welcoming. Breakfast was a Turkish spread with greens, cheese, jams, and olives, and when things ran out, they made more eggs and omelets.
