Aurasia Sea Side Hotel

We stayed one night at Aurasia Sea Side Hotel as a family of two adults and two children. Our suite was clean, modern, and recently renovated, which made for a comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, always ready to assist. The beach is just a one-minute walk away, and the lively area has lots of cafes and shops. There’s no dedicated hotel parking, but we found a spot nearby after a short walk. The hotel has one small lift, though it was manageable. It’s a good option for families or couples who want somewhere convenient and cozy near the beach. As a boutique-style hotel, I’d put it around three to four stars.

My sister came back from this hotel in Marmaris in tears. She had a miserable stay, with no service and no help from the staff. Reception never answered, even during emergencies, and they couldn’t provide basic blankets despite being asked many times. The elevator broke down every single day. There was nothing to do at the hotel, and in such a touristy area, not being able to communicate in English is unacceptable. It was a truly terrible experience. Management seriously needs to learn the basics of hospitality and customer service. Not even one star!

I booked the best room, but the key card wouldn’t work when I got there. Reception said it didn’t function properly, so I’d have to call them every time I wanted to enter or leave the room. The bed was a disaster too. It must have been at least about 10 years old. When I sat on it, the mattress sank all the way to the wooden slats. Reception told me that was normal because it was an orthopedic bed, and that it wasn’t a big deal. The showerhead was fixed to the wall and couldn’t be adjusted. At 1.76m tall, I found it too low, around 1.65m, so I had to crouch and press myself against the wall to shower. When I explained all this and said I wanted to cancel and leave, they said cancellation wasn’t possible and blamed me, saying I was the problem and too harsh about the room. Nobody apologized or showed any empathy. It was the worst hotel and service experience of my life. I’m going to file a complaint with the relevant authorities.

Mehmet, the manager, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, and the customer service was really nice. Staff were friendly, easy to talk to, and very helpful with our needs. The location was the best part for me. It’s very close to nearby places of interest, all within walking distance, just off the main beach strip. The balconies have beautiful views, and the pool is a nice added bonus. Rooms, especially the deluxe ones, are kept to a very nice standard. Cleaners come each morning to keep everything clean.
