Club Ako Apartments

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the harbour and town centre. There are small shops and restaurants nearby with cheaper, more Turkish food and drinks. It’s also about 10 minutes on foot to the main area, with pricier restaurants, bars, and the grand bizzare for shopping. Club ako was just what we expected. The rooms were fine, though a bit cosy for four, and worked well for sleeping and getting changed. My only real criticism is that the fourth person would have needed a second air con unit in the main room. The hotel was kept clean throughout. The staff and owners were really nice if you took time to chat with them. Room cleaning could’ve been more consistent, but we may have forgotten to put out the green room-cleaning sign. They were very accommodating when we mentioned it, so I’m happy to give them the benefit of the doubt.

We booked this as a late deal and didn’t know what to expect. It turned out to be one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. The people work hard, look after you well, and went above and beyond to help make the holiday lovely. The food is highly recommended. My friend and I would definitely stay here again. The staff were so rude, unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Drinks cost double what they do elsewhere in marmaris, and the pool is tiny, nowhere near as big as it looks in the pictures. The cooker takes 30 minutes to heat up. Everything in the room smelled old and dirty. The mattresses were disgusting, smelly, and uncomfortable, and I couldn’t sleep on them. The air con was very old and leaking water. Daily cleaning is advertised, but that’s a lie. There are also electrical safety problems, with two unsafe sockets. There’s more I could say, but think carefully before booking here if you don’t want your holiday wasted.

The rooms are good, the pool is quite big, and there are plenty of sunbeds. Cleaners come every day or two. The staff are really nice, and the prices are decent. I like the food, though dinner could be better. Don’t listen to the other people saying the staff are mean. The WiFi can glitch, but it usually comes back after about 5-10 minutes. It only went out once during my 10 days there, which isn’t bad considering how many people are staying.
