For us, the room was a great size, and we were only minutes by car from where we needed to be. The Wi-Fi was excellent, and I could take a Teams work call without any trouble. The only thing I couldn’t fault was the shower, which is mentioned below. Grand plaza hotel isn’t a five-star place, and I’d compare it to a Travelodge in the UK. We chose it based on previous reviews, and if asked whether I’d stay there again, I’d say yes.

There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, and the Metrobus stop is about 20 metres from the entrance. Toirom Shopping Mall is close too. The hotel is clean and tidy, with friendly, professional staff, and it feels affordable. I’ve stayed eight nights here this year and am back again now. Breakfast is limited, perhaps because of COVID19. You can also get lunch or dinner in the hotel restaurant for an extra 10€ per person per meal. I’d recommend it to families, and I’m sure I’ll stay here whenever I visit Istanbul.

Rooms 404 and 405 have the best views, and we got a cheap rate, 500 TL in 6/2022. The rooms were very clean and the service was good. It’s just a minute from Torium AVM and the Metrobus station, right in the heart of the city. One of the best hotels I’ve visited in Istanbul.

The rates are very low, and the new rooms are amazing. It’s near the Metrobus bridge, though there’s no parking. Breakfast could be better, with little choice, and an omelet costs extra. Everything else was good.

The rooms were clean and the location was good, but there were a lot of problems. The air conditioning was bad, staff seemed to avoid their duties, breakfast was poor, and the walls between rooms let through almost everything. They allowed smoking and sex secretly, and offered no discount as an apology. The hotel owner commented after I posted this, but I’m a Google guide and need to be honest, so I’m not changing my review. Maybe I’ll visit again in a few months and update it.
