Forum Residence Hotel

Being right by the lively promenade, restaurants, bars and beachfront entertainment made the location really convenient. A Migros supermarket is next door, which was handy for picking up snacks, drinks and whatever else we needed. We spent 10 days at the Forum Residence and were very happy with our choice. The staff were consistently polite, helpful and genuinely friendly, and the room was cleaned daily. The pool was popular, so sunbeds filled quickly, but there were no arguments over them. We booked a cabana for a few days and found the extra space and comfort worth it. The pool is 1.5m deep all the way around. We’d happily return and recommend it as a base in this part of Turkey.

The pool was great. We always found two sunbeds without reserving, and there were shaded spots plus a sofa-style area with lots of cushions. Food was nice, but be clear if you have allergies or dislike certain ingredients, as things we mentioned still occasionally appeared in the salad. Breakfast was enough, though the fruit was sometimes warm. Get up early if you want the amazing pancakes. I didn’t shop at the hotel shop, but it looked well stocked. I spent a week at the Forum, close to the main road, beach and shops. The staff were all friendly and spoke English. My family, who were staying elsewhere, could visit for the day, which was great since we had to pay to enter their hotel. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of storage, a fridge and kettle. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was strong, but cost £41. The safe also cost extra. Extending the room for checkout was only £60, compared with the £99 per person Tui wanted. The balcony was large, but too hot to sit beside the air conditioning unit blowing warm air. The bathroom had a large sink with storage and a powerful shower. Some towels looked less than white, and the floor towel got very dirty when wet, which made me think the floor needed cleaning.

I booked at the last minute to visit family at another hotel and stayed bed and breakfast. Breakfast was very basic, there wasn’t much, and it could be improved. The rooms were spacious but basic and very hot. Air conditioning costs extra, but it’s impossible to sleep without it. The location was brilliant, right in the centre of everything. More than anything, the hotel staff were amazing. I was travelling alone but felt safe, welcome and at home every time I came through reception. They’d stop for a chat, and they’re genuinely lovely people. I’d come back just to see the ladies on reception. It was all worth it. Thanks for your service, you’re a treasure to the hotel.

The meals were a real highlight: huge portions, everything we tried tasted great, and it all seemed freshly made. Bako was another standout, always friendly and warm, and he went out of his way to help guests feel at home. I stayed at Forum Residence Hotel in 2023 and again in 2025, and it kept exceeding my expectations. Already looking forward to another visit!
