Heaven Beach Otel

I only wish I hadn’t had to cut the stay short. It’s a lovely little hotel for the money, and Alex was especially friendly and helpful, as were the staff. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC got nice and cold, and there was a kettle and fridge. Breakfast was fresh, with plenty of variety on the platter. There’s also a private beach and jetty, a nice bar, good food and strong WiFi. It’s in a handy location. I booked at short notice after an agency messed up my other hotel booking, and had to find another place in person that same evening. This turned out to be brilliant value.

The room was pleasant and came with a kettle and hair dryer, though the balcony door handle was broken. Our cleaner had just finished the room when we arrived and was friendly. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was good, but they played fairly loud music late at night despite there not being many customers, so bear that in mind if you’re a light or early sleeper. We found the area beautiful and the people friendly, though the resort seemed pricier than places we’d visited such as Bodrum. Getting there was a bit awkward: workmen were about to add sand to the beach, which made parking confusing, but we eventually parked in front without getting in their way. The lobby and office smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which was off-putting, and the receptionist didn’t seem to be expecting us. The carpeted stairs smelled of smoke too, and they were quite steep.

The beachfront setting at the end of the strip was fantastic, and breakfast by the water was a highlight. We also really liked the beachside lounge, bar service, hookah and DJ music, which felt like a five-star resort. The owner was lovely and friendly, and so was all the staff. We were leaving early, and the owner arranged sandwiches and drinks for us to take along for breakfast. The rooms are a bit worn, with old corridor carpets and some tired furniture in one of the two rooms we had. We needed three beds in one room, and they added one quickly without any trouble. The AC and water pressure were still great. It’s sold as a three-star hotel, and for the price it was great value if you don’t mind a tired room.

The location’s hard to beat, right across from the beach. Guests can use the free chairs, and there’s also a floating platform where you can sunbathe. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us, and most spoke English, which was great. The place could use a little TLC, but I’d recommend it.
