Pasabey Hotel

Chico and the entertainment were good, the pool was nice, and the cleaners and reception staff were very good. Everyone was pleasant, and I also liked the sauna and the beauty service downstairs. But this isn't a four-star hotel, three stars at most. The food was average and repeated a lot each day. Rooms were tiny, dated, and needed repairs and fresh decor, with no extra touches. Our balcony was too cramped for the table and two chairs, and looked straight at private apartments with no view. The sink was cracked, and the shower and facilities were old. Turkish alcohol was the only alcohol included; drinks such as piña coladas cost extra. Around the pool, it was hard to get away from the smokers.

The food was nicely prepared and surprisingly healthy, which I appreciated. The staff were consistently kind, respectful, helpful, and cheerful. I stayed at Pasabey for a week and would recommend it. I arrived early in the morning and found one double bed instead of two separate ones, but they changed the room the next morning. The room was a little cramped, though I didn't spend much time in it. It was hard to find a sunbed by the pool during my stay, as it was very busy and lots of people stayed around the pool. The beach area, with bars and restaurants, is a 20-minute walk down the road, so the hotel is well located.

The location suited us, in a quiet residential part of town but only about ten minutes on foot from the seafront, harbour, and all the nightlife. The rooms are on the small side, though that's fine when you're mostly just sleeping there, and the air conditioning worked well. Service was really good. Everyone seemed ready to help and did it with a smile.

Chico deserves a special mention. He was energetic and kind, made sure we were enjoying ourselves, and always had a friendly word or a useful suggestion. He helped make the stay memorable, and he's a big reason we'll come back. From arrival, all the staff were warm and went out of their way to help. Meals were fresh, varied, and consistently tasty, with care put into breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There was always some entertainment, including live shows and activities, and the mood felt lively but still relaxed. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend it.
