The apartments aren’t five star, but they’re clean, adequate, and have what you need. For the price, I’d rate them above four stars. I stayed for two weeks last year while on leave from my ship, taking my daughter. We had two self-catering apartments with kitchenettes and balconies, and the total was about £500 including flights. I wasn’t disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. There’s a large pool with a slide, lots of loungers, and a great poolside bar. Bar food is basic, tasty, and cheap. It seems to attract mostly British guests who come back every year. Marmaris works for all kinds of holidays, whether you want somewhere quiet and cosmopolitan, a lively break, a beach stay, or a base for getting around.

The hotel and apartments are clean, and the housekeepers are fantastic. There’s a local market and supermarket nearby for stocking up, though eating and drinking here is expensive. It’s a good choice if you like Blackpool in the sunshine. The place is horrid and noisy, and the staff are obnoxious. If you stay, ask for a room at the back, since the ones facing the pool and bar are very loud.
