Honeymoon Hotel

I was travelling solo and felt very safe here. The sea views were amazing, and the staff were lovely, always ready to help. It’s a basic hotel, but it has everything you need and was very clean and comfortable. There’s a bar right next door, though the music stopped at midnight. I loved staying here and would definitely recommend it and come back.

For a budget stay in Marmaris, I had a good experience and would recommend it. The lobby was air-conditioned most of the time, something you rarely see in three- and four-star hotels here despite the scorching heat. Breakfast was fresh each morning, with jams, cheeses, boiled eggs, menemen, fries, bread, cereals, milk, orange juice, water, coffee and tea. The reception staff were kind and helpful with requests. The partial sea view was nice, but beachfront hotels in Marmaris can be noisy for light sleepers, with nearby bars and restaurants playing loud music until 1 pm. The hotel is a typical affordable three-star place, conveniently about 10 minutes from the center. The room was just enough for a comfortable stay, though the hotel could improve a few things. The mattress should be changed, and some towels were stained and not very fluffy. The shower leaked from the back corner of the semi-door, but not badly, and a sewage smell sometimes came through during the day, though it didn’t last long. I’d read about these issues beforehand, and in room 405 they weren’t as bad as I’d feared. Cleaning could be better: they made the bed and took out the trash, but didn’t clean the floors or bathroom. Towels were changed every two days under their policy, which didn’t make sense to me for a summer stay. The AC took a few minutes to start but worked well, as did the fridge.

The rooms are clean and adequate, and breakfast was okay. Right on the beachfront, with great views.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or stay again. There’s no restaurant inside, no phone in the rooms and no safety box unless you pay extra. The minibar was empty, and breakfast had very little choice. At night they switched off the heater, so we couldn’t shower. Our closet was broken and unusable, and water kept pouring out of the shower cabin. Housekeeping barely cleaned, even when tipped every day. The toilets and floor were still dusty, towels weren’t changed, and they just put out two soaps and retied the old towels. It felt like about two minutes of cleaning. The staff didn’t understand any language we could use to communicate.
