Esme, the Manger, arranged a surprise birthday cake for my mate, which was such a thoughtful touch. The staff were attentive without hovering, and the food was tasty, generous, and inexpensive. We didn't try dinner, as they could promote it more, but hopefully more people give it a go in the coming weeks. The rooms are basic and clean, the plumbing worked, and the electric shower was great, so no sudden surprises if the weather turns. I've stayed in plenty of places, and this little gem is well worth a visit. We got back from the Tropic Marina apartments after a really good stay with the whole staff.

The people were friendly, the atmosphere was very good, and the rooms were nice. I gave only three stars because we were moved to another hotel for the first two nights due to overbooking.
