Yuvam Prime Beach Hotel

The rooms are fantastic, clean, and have softer beds. We’ve stayed here several times and usually return, but after what happened on 6/10, I’m not sure we’ll feel welcome coming back. We got back around 9:35pm and pulled the public scooters we’d been using up to the hotel’s front steps. There were already three mopeds parked there, and we’d parked the scooters there before, including during this stay. A hostile man from the Irish bar told me to move them, saying a new rule had just been introduced. When I asked what harm they were doing among the mopeds, he was so rude that I told him to move them himself instead of speaking to me like I was a piece of s&£t. He followed me into the hotel shouting that I’d have to leave, pack my bags, and get out. Reception also said they wanted us to leave if we didn’t move the scooters. What harm were they doing? What a way to welcome guests. I’m confident management doesn’t know about this. Please check the cameras from that date. The bar manager will have a different version, but most customers don’t go to Google to write a pack of lies. My name is on this review, Mr. Manager. I started writing this feedback on the second day of our stay. The rooms are very small, and there’s no room service. It seemed like one person was responsible for the whole hotel. After 4:00 Pm, housekeeping wasn’t available. When I asked reception for blankets, he said he was alone and told me to come take them myself. The same thing happened when I asked for carton cups at 8am. The shower was very old and had no door, so after every shower we had to wipe up the whole bathroom. I told reception, and he said it was to avoid getting stuck and killed inside the shower. Update: room service put the missing door in after three days. There were no thick blankets, only bed cover ups. After checking out at 12:00 Pm, I asked the manager if we could use a bath. He said the rooms were full. Staff had offered a room until 3:30 Pm, before room service left at 4:00 Pm, for 50$. They’re not professional. Not recommended at all.

The location is right on the beach, the rooms were clean, and the receptionist was good. But I wouldn’t recommend it for families because the front bar music is loud until 2am. They describe breakfast as a buffet, but it arrives already plated. When I asked for orange juice, they said they had it but it cost extra. The picture below is what they call a buffet breakfast.

The music was super loud in the evenings. We also had trouble with the shower cubicle door, which kept jamming, and would have preferred real coffee cups instead of paper ones. The room was very comfortable, breakfast was good and delicious, and the location is wonderful, right on the esplanade with the beach in front and restaurants close by.
