Gumuldur Mavi Deniz Otel

It may not be a luxury place, but I'm so glad we stayed. Everything was clean, the service was great, and the staff were lovely. They looked after everyone in our group individually and helped with all our requests. As international visitors for Erasmus, we had special events, and the team took care of everything.

The first two nights, Turkish preschool graduation parties in the garden had live music that was a little noisy. We didn't mind, it brought back fond memories of our daughter's graduation, and we were happy just watching from our windows over the garden and sea. It was over by 11 PM. We were out exploring the countryside in our rental car each day, so can't really speak to the hotel's daytime atmosphere. Breakfast suggested it was a quiet, relaxing place, and the garden layout makes it feel like your own little world. Our stay was very pleasant. The room was clean and bigger than expected, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served at the table, which was nice instead of going back and forth at a buffet. Buse, our server, was especially sweet. Everyone responded quickly to our needs. After checkout, the owner even helped with an iPhone navigation issue. When he learned we'd been there for our anniversary, he gave us their own virgin olive oil.

The atmosphere at Gümüldür Mavi Deniz Otel was lovely, and a local musician came to play. Our room had a lovely ocean view, and the place is near the Gümüldür Mavi Deniz Pide shop and the night markets. The rooms were clean, hygienic, and spacious. Food was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, with something for everyone. The staff worked hard, were super friendly, and made us feel at home. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We can't wait to return.

Dinner was a real highlight, with a generous spread of Turkish vegetarian dishes made from fresh vegetables. Breakfast was simpler but tasty; we especially liked the black olive and red pepper pastes, plus the cheese and tomato salad. There was also an afternoon tea gathering from 16:30-17:30 with herbal teas, cakes, and snacks, and on Saturday the garden hosted a barbecue with live music. The garden itself was a lovely place to sit among the flowers and trees, watch the cats play under the tables, read, or have Turkish coffee and a beer while the sun went down. Our room was right by the beach, so we could hear the waves. Falling asleep with the windows wide open and the AC off was lovely. The staff were very friendly and willing to help, even though some spoke little English. It made for a lovely holiday atmosphere.
