Menderes Butik Otel

The hotel's only room outlet meant we had to choose between charging a phone and watching TV. The drawers by the bed and in the kitchen were full of nuts and used Nescafe packets. There was a foul smell from the sink, and I couldn't leave the toilet window open because of the barbecue smell from the restaurant. I've stayed in about 50 hotels across 15-20 cities, and this was the dirtiest. The place is strange, dirty, and neglected, and I think a serious, heavy smell comes from the basement, possibly from the butcher shop or restaurant next door. There's no proper reception, the butcher shop's cashier area acts as one. Even pressing the elevator buttons made me feel disgusted. There's no fire escape, phone, or slippers, and no power outlet by the bed. There's no service worth 300 lira.

I booked a room 10 days ahead and set off, but they wouldn't answer calls or messages. I went in person, made a reservation, and asked if the room was ready, only to be told all the rooms were full. I'd traveled 1050 km and there was no room for me. I called them 28 times without an answer and was left humiliated. I've never seen such a despicable hotel. May God punish them as they deserve.

The city is easy to get around from here, and the rooms and furnishings are in excellent shape and very clean. Mr. Ibrahim, the owner, was attentive and helped us with any problems. This is an easy place to choose.

Everything felt carefully looked after, from the spotless, orderly rooms to the excellent, welcoming service. I’d especially recommend trying the delicious menu at Kanatçı Hakkı.
