Alan Suites

What makes me choose Alan Suites every time I'm in the area is their practice of using leftovers from guests' plates to feed stray animals. That deserves more than five stars. The hotel is in Edirne, on a quiet street within walking distance of a mosque, cafes, restaurants, and two shopping malls. Its own restaurant and cafe are worth a visit. The rooms are clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, and the staff are excellent and speak English well.

We were welcomed with cookies, and my daughter was given a present too. The rooms were clean, breakfast was fabulous, and the staff were very friendly and spoke English. Thanks, we'll definitely come back!

The food was incredible, and the hygiene was excellent. Everyone was polite, and the comfort, hospitality, and kindness made this such a lovely place to stay. A special thank you to Asli, who really is a ray of sunshine. The Tarlan Family will come again! 🤍❤️❤️

Getting into the city center from the hotel was easy by taxi, only 6-8 minutes, and fares were inexpensive. There are plenty of taxi stands for the return trip. If you don't speak Turkish, a hotel business card is handy to show the driver. We left the car at the hotel because downtown Edirne driving and parking can be tricky if you're unfamiliar with it. Parking at the hotel was free, with several options depending on availability. We stayed with friends in the Executive Suite, which had two bedrooms on opposite sides and a roomy lounge between them. The lounge could be made into another bed, and its sofas were comfortable for staying up and chatting. There was just one bathroom, but it was spotless and had the basic toiletries. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, with plenty of towels. Breakfast was a highlight, with what seemed like more than a hundred fresh, high-quality choices. Staff at the buffet were attentive and gave good suggestions when we asked. Dinner at one of the hotel's restaurants was also impressive, both the service and food. I tried the Mexican Fajitas special, a delicious, perfectly spicy dish with a Turkish twist. We didn't try the coffee and snack bar, though it looked inviting. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout, and the complimentary chocolate chip cookie at check-in was a nice touch. Our stay exceeded expectations, and I'd consider staying here again in Edirne.
