Kardelen Hotel

Outside noise at night was the one drawback, though it wasn't too bad and we slept well. We paid 555TL a night including breakfast. The staff were kind and helpful, and thank you, Kardelen, for your services! Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with a small, clean, cozy balcony facing the main road. Breakfast was buffet-style with lots of choices, the best we'd had at a 3-star hotel. We've often been disappointed by hygiene at other 3-star places we've stayed, but this one felt like the 3-star hotels you find in Europe. I'd definitely recommend it.

I speak English, French, and Spanish, but those languages, even with Google Translate, haven't helped much in Eastern Türkiye beyond basic directions. I just wanted to confirm today's meeting with a friend who speaks English fluently but has assistants who only speak Turkish. Four hotel staff eagerly tried to find a professional translator for me, when all I needed was someone to call and transfer me to my friend's extension.

The hotel doesn't get any breeze, so it can feel really unpleasant on hot days. Otherwise, it's very good for the price. It's on halab Street, with plenty of Syrian shops nearby, so it's a good choice if you speak Arabic. Unfortunately, 99% of the people here can't speak English or Arabic.

The staff are friendly, especially Veli, the man at reception. Good hotel.
