Privacy was a major problem during my event. I asked at least three or four times for the area to be kept private, but the doors and windows stayed open, leaving us exposed. Planning was difficult from the start too. The event manager and staff were unprofessional and disrespectful, repeatedly pushing their own preferences instead of listening to what I’d asked for. Even simple arrangements became a struggle. The payment discussion was also uncomfortable. Staff insisted on cash and said paying by credit card would mean an extra percentage fee. That practice is unacceptable and raises serious concerns, especially since charging extra this way is against regulations. They spoke loudly and aggressively about it. I recently hosted a private event in the hotel ballroom, and the whole experience was stressful, far from what you’d expect for an important event. I wouldn’t recommend holding one here.

The staff were helpful and nice, and the breakfast was good, though there wasn’t much to choose from. They have connecting rooms for families, and there’s Wi-Fi, but it’s very slow. A wedding on the roof kept us and our baby awake. It was a working night, not a weekend or holiday, and the noise was so loud that it felt like the wedding was in our room. The walls don’t block sound at all, and we had a bad headache that night. The staff had said it would end around 11, and it did finish at 11:15pm, but that was still very late for us. Definitely not relaxing.

The staff are good, well behaved, and always hospitable, but I don’t think hospitality alone is enough to justify paying more than 50 USD a day. The breakfast is mediocre, nothing special. They keep finding ways to explain the high room prices, whether it’s tourist season in summer or a city hotel in winter. It feels a bit expensive all year.

It was an excellent base for work, especially with the curfew during the Covid crisis. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, with genuine hospitality and a warm welcome. It’s more of a business hotel on the main road in the business district, a three-star place with four-star service.
