Kumkat Hotel

We stayed for three nights, from 10.08 to 13.08, and the hotel felt cozy, with a pleasant interior that made it feel like home. Our room was small but laid out efficiently. It was clean, the linens were fresh, and the bathroom had no unpleasant smells. The air conditioner and refrigerator both worked well. There were different lighting options, from bright to dim, as well as bedside lights. Our balcony faced the garden, and it was lovely to sit there early in the morning and read a couple of pages. Breakfast began around 8:30. It was delicious, colorful, and nicely presented, with birds singing in the garden. The owner, Mrs. Funda, and her assistant were both very nice. Along with breakfast, they treated us to Turkish coffee, and we enjoyed chatting about different things. The Ancient City of Iasos and the Fish market are about a 10-minute walk away. You can also stroll around the marina and have a drink at the bar. Don’t expect lively nightlife here, though. This location is better suited to a slow, relaxing holiday. We didn’t visit the nearby beach, so I can’t comment on it. The nearest beach we went to was Zeytinli kuyu, 8 km from the hotel, and it was nice. We spent only the mornings and late evenings at the hotel, exploring villages, lakes, and beaches the rest of the time. The location worked well for us, since there are lots of interesting places about an hour’s drive away in different directions.
