Around 7 this morning, when the town seemed asleep, I found the hotel open and the kitchen running. There were already about 5-6 people in the dining area. It looked really nice and was very cheap, but it was full, so I had to stay somewhere else. Also, the address is wrong and needs correcting.

The wooden staircase and patterned walls gave us the impression of a carefully built place, and we left pleased. We spent one night in a clean, quiet room at the back. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel is at the entrance to Mudurnu, about 2 km from the historic houses.

It was the only hotel in town still open at 11 p.m., which was one plus. Sleep was another matter: cars, people in the corridors, slamming doors, and snoring all made noise. The showers were barely warm, and the water wasn't clean. There was dust and spiders, and the rooms smelled of cigarettes.

The bathrooms and rooms were clean, which is why I gave it an average rating. Still, I’d only stay here for a night, not for a longer visit. The rooms feel damp, breakfast is mediocre, and the dining area isn't very hygienic.

A good-value place for an overnight stay. Thanks, Ünsal Hotel.
