Casa Mare Bodrum

It's quiet at night, with no music, noise, or parties, and the hotel has a nice sea view from the hill. The rooms were clean and roomy enough, though smaller than they appeared in the pictures. Staff were just okay, neither particularly friendly nor rude. For the room price, I expected better than the very basic breakfast. The main drawback was getting around: the center isn't far, but the walk is tiring and there's no bus access. I'd recommend it to anyone after a peaceful break, pool time, and a view.

The marina is a close walk, but the route goes up and down a hill, so anyone with mobility issues should plan for a cab or another place to stay. They're a small team and work really hard, and they're genuinely friendly. They arranged our hotel transfer ahead of time to fit our flight, which was hassle-free. The breakfast is basic but good quality, and trips are easy to set up from there. They don't charge for room service and offer tea if you're waiting for a trip or cab. It was nice to see both foreign and Turkish guests. I didn't fancy anything on the menu, so they made what I asked for. Great value for money, and perfect for solo travelers who like a quiet stay. I don't get the negative reviews at this price and star rating. If you want stellar service, stay at the Mandarin Oriental!

My husband and I had a really bad stay at Casa Mare. The location was hard to reach, and while the view was nice, the rest wasn't worth it. Wi-Fi didn't work at all on our floor, so we couldn't telework. We complained more than once and nothing was done. Staff weren't friendly or accommodating, and our room wasn't cleaned or turned over during our four days there. Half the lights were out, and the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. When my husband was injured and bleeding heavily, the hotel had no first-aid supplies, not even a bandage. They wouldn't give me tape either. They sent me to a pharmacy that was closed, so I had to take a taxi around looking for one that was open.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the view over the bay was amazing. I found the location quite central, so it was easy to get around. I really enjoyed staying here and can't wait to return.
