Lizbon Hotel

The staff were extremely friendly and ready to help, and the rooms were fairly clean apart from some rust and dust. We found the location disappointing. We’d come for a beach and sea holiday, but the only swimming option was quite far away and had a stone beach. It’s a nice hotel overall, but remote from the sights and beaches.

The bus stop is right outside, with lots of restaurants nearby, and you can take a bus and then a train into central Izmir. The hotel can also arrange a cab or taxi. Ask nicely and maybe a staff member will take you to Konak for about half the taxi price, but you didn’t hear that from me. ;-) I’m glad I ended up here after being offered Lizbon Hotel as an alternative. The staff are great, friendly, and helpful, and our room is perfect for me and my daughter, with a double bed and a single. Breakfast comes with the stay and is pretty basic, but the chef will make what you need. I’ve had dental implants and can only eat soft food, so soup and scrambled eggs work for me. I imagine there may be an extra charge, so I might update this at the end of my stay. There’s also a great sandy beach about a 10-minute walk away, good for swimming in the sea. I highly recommend the hotel.

The friendly, kind staff made a real difference, especially Efe, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Our room was clean, and waking up to that stunning sea view made each morning special. Breakfast was included and had a varied selection of delicious food. We had a wonderful stay.

The room was nice, but I don’t think this hotel was for me. There’s no pool or garden, and without a balcony there isn’t really anywhere to relax. It’s on a very busy main road, though there’s a plush restaurant across from it. This was booked for me as part of a package. Fries or chips aren’t ideal breakfast food, especially with flies around. They need net covers over the food.
