Viona Hotel

It’s a little off the main strip, but that suited us fine. The setting is very quiet, with the sea literally across the road. The staff and amenities were top notch, and the location has pleasant surroundings while still being not too far from Izmirs nightlife. I’ve been to Izmir about half a dozen times, and this was my best visit purely because of the hotel. Can’t fault it, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

Our stay lasted more than two weeks, during the Coronavirus curfew, and the staff made us feel at home from the start. At first I thought that was just a hotel cliché, but their actions showed they meant it. We even used the lobby sinks to wash our dishes whenever we wanted. The rooms were spotless and spacious, with sea views, and the staff were caring and incredibly helpful. Even after we checked out, one of them prepared snacks for us to take on our journey. You should definitely know Mr. Erdinc. This is a boutique hotel with high standards, run by a very polite, modern family. We even got to meet and eat with them on the first day of Ramadan Fest. They organized a lunch and invited us to their drill-party. I wrote this in English even though I’m Turkish because I’d be very happy for the hotel to welcome non-Turkish tourists. It would be a wonderful representation of Turkish generosity and hospitality. Thank you for everything you did for us during our stay. We’ll reserve rooms again as soon as we can. :)

The modern rooms were lovely and very clean, and they made us feel welcome. A great experience, highly recommend. 🙂

The hot water stopped while I was showering. Apart from that, things were okay.
