Deniz, the host, was very helpful and could offer advice on where to eat and what to visit. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and well maintained, and the rooms felt cozy and comfortable. Ours even had a view of the castle. We absolutely loved staying here.

After a month of traveling, this was my last place in Turkey, and it was the best. Deniz Hanim is such a caring, kind person. She called after I booked to check how and when I was arriving, then sent useful directions and the number of a reliable taxi driver in case I needed one. My bus was due at 7am but arrived two hours late. I hadn't called because I didn't want to wake her, but she was up waiting to welcome me personally. She called to make sure I was okay and waited. The place is easy to find and centrally located. When I arrived, she made me a much-needed coffee, asked if I liked animals, and we sat in the sun in her garden. She introduced me to her many friendly, loving dogs and chickens. She'd checked the weather too, and the umbrella came in handy. Her tips on sights, timing my day, restaurants and shops were really helpful. The guest rooms, kitchen and downstairs front door are for guests, while her apartment is upstairs with a separate entrance. She was always accessible, but guests still had full privacy. As an animal lover, I loved spending time in the garden with the 10 lovely dogs, and enjoyed our chats. Deniz Hanim is a special person, and now a friend. She truly wants people to have a good experience in Kars and at her place. Her kindness is overwhelming and unmatched. The whole place was clean and comfortable, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. The beds and pillows were great, and everything felt warm and cozy, from the temperature to the kitchen, carpet and mats. There were loads of thoughtful touches, including a washing machine, tea and coffee, two types of water, a snack, a towel heater, a bathroom floor wiper, an umbrella, a fully equipped guest kitchen and slippers. This review doesn't really do the place justice. You'll have to experience it yourself.

Mrs. Deniz, who owns the guest house, treated us like guests in her home, not like customers. She was a wonderful host and helped turn our trip into a real experience. She'll gladly answer questions about Kars and point you to restaurants with delicious food. Her hospitality was great, and she genuinely wanted to help. The house is very central, surrounded by lots of trees, so there's plenty of fresh air and natural sounds. The rooms are warm and very clean, and the beds are comfortable enough to get a great night's sleep and relax. Everything we needed was there, including water, a combi boiler, tea and coffee. We had a wonderful time, and I'd strongly recommend staying here when visiting Kars. If I go back, I'd stay in this house again.
