Being a little away from the busy center of Goreme was just right. The shops, cars, and festive lights were lively, while the hotel gave me a quiet place to recover. After finding some tourist spots expensive and occasionally cold, this felt warm and homey. I arrived in Goreme after a seven-hour sleeper bus ride from Antalya, soaked from the rain, and got there after 3 AM, past the midnight check-in time. The staff still welcomed me kindly and showed me to my room. I regret not asking the name of the person who helped me. Design Cave Hotel was where I felt most relaxed during my time in Cappadocia. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely views around it, spotless facilities, and great hospitality. Breakfast was the most organized, plentiful, and comfortable meal of my trip. I’ll miss the kind woman and man who served it. Many thanks to mr. Hasan, Ismail, and everyone on staff. I highly recommend staying here.

Mr. Sam and the staff were a huge help arranging the balloon ride, transfers, and mixed travel package, so 100 points to them, especially Sam. The location is good, and there are several places to refill water. The bathroom had a superb cave feel. The hotel is partly cave and partly renovated, and we booked a king suite with two floors expecting a terrace view, but got a ground floor room. I thought the king suite, as the most premium room, should be on the terrace for balloon viewing. Breakfast was disappointing for us, just bread and omelet inside, and we expected more. Nice hotel otherwise.

The roof terrace has a breathtaking view, and the hotel is just toward the end of town, with everything about a five-minute walk away. We chose this place after researching lots of cave hotels, and it was the best choice of our two weeks in Turkey. On arrival the staff were so helpful that they even upgraded our room at no extra cost, depending on availability and time of year, of course. We had plenty of questions about tours and what to do around town, and reception helped shape a plan around the unpredictable weather. The breakfast team were lovely and welcoming every morning too. If you're unsure about booking here, I say go for it.

Ismail and Emir made our stay at Design Cappadocia Hotel especially memorable. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely kind, and went out of their way to make us feel looked after. The staff were super nice and helpful, and the location made it easy for tour pickups and drop-offs. Our room was spacious and warm, and breakfast had a great selection. There was plenty of seating, plus a rooftop lounge area. The hotel also had several water refill stations and provided bottled water, coffee, and tea for free.
