Foga Beach Homes

We'd been very happy here last year. Everything was clean and orderly, the furnishings were good, and the holiday had been genuinely satisfying, so we decided to return. This time the first room was shocking: there was underwear in the closets, dirty dishes left in the kitchen, hair on the floor, and the sinks were in terrible shape. It looked as if nobody had cleaned or checked anything after the previous guest. We refused to stay in that room and moved to another, but that one wasn't much cleaner. We did what we could ourselves, changed the sheets, and found the balcony filthy, with dust, dirt and pollen stuck all over the sofas and table. We'd travelled a long way and couldn't turn back, so we had to stay, but we were extremely unhappy. A disgrace.

After being so pleased last year, we came back and got a room with dirty floors, linens, kitchen and toilet. There were two thongs in the closet. We had travelled a long way, so we moved to a different room, but it wasn't clean either. There was no hygiene at all. We asked for bleach so we could clean it ourselves, and I spilled some on myself while carrying it to the room. We're very unhappy. We regret having recommended it, and won't recommend it again.

The building and the beach it sits by both felt neglected and dirty. The beach was poorly kept, and the sea was very pebbly. There weren't enough cleaning products in the apartment. We ended up swimming in different nearby coves during our stay instead of at the building's own beach. I'd booked six extra nights, but work called me away for the last two days, so I asked for a reasonable refund. The owner, Ms. İmre, refused and suggested I was leaving early out of spite because of bad weather. The apartment building's location wasn't great, and I won't visit this destination again.

We felt at home here, even with the kids, while still having the comfort of a hotel. The house was clean and carefully maintained, with every detail thought through. I liked that the sea was within walking distance and that the houses had two bathrooms and toilets. I've visited Foça many times and stayed in different places, but this will be my only choice from now on. Thanks for all the care and friendliness.
