North Star Resort Hotel

I spent five days here and visited most of the tourist spots in northern Turkey. The farthest one was an hour and a half away. The resort is well placed for attractions and activities, with the sea on one side and tea fields and beautiful scenery on the other. The price felt very reasonable for the services, location, cleanliness, and everything provided for a stay. My thanks to Murad and his family for their hospitality and good manners. I highly recommend staying here, it made my trip around northern Turkey much more enjoyable.

We were a family of three and stayed for two nights. The hotel sits among tea gardens, with a stunning view of the Black-Seal, and the road up is good. One of our most memorable moments was the morning walk. Breakfast was fresh, with lots of different items, and the hospitality was among the best. We felt at home. Location, cleanliness, surroundings, and breakfast were all 10 out of 10 for us. I highly recommend it, and we’ll consider staying here again when we come to Rize.

The sea views are stunning, and the property is newly built and beautifully maintained. Lush, well-kept tea gardens all around give the place a peaceful natural feel. A delightful spot to relax and enjoy nature.

We visited in the first half of August 2025, when the resort had only recently opened. The greenery stretched as far as we could see, and the family running the place were wonderful. I especially liked the comfortable mattress, and the villas were roomier than those at other hotels in Trabzon and the surrounding area that I checked. It’s a quiet, relaxing mountain escape from city crowds, noise, and pollution, with green views reaching down to the sea and a lovely sunset. The resort is also well placed between the area’s main attractions, so it works as a base for exploring. I’m sharing videos of both views, over the sea and the mountain, and they’re both amazing.
