Belcehan Deluxe

The mountain views behind the hotel were beautiful. We had friendly, helpful staff and a breakfast with a decent variety. It's just off the main strip near the beach, which was about a 10 minute walk.

You can watch paragliders while relaxing by the pool, and there's a billiards table nearby with all the balls and cues in good condition. The poolside view of the mountains is lovely, and the bar food was very good. The staff were especially nice to talk with and happy to have a long conversation instead of rushing away ☺️. The one room drawback was the lack of a shower door, so water usually ends up all over the floor outside the shower.

The staff and service really made the stay for us. Everyone was attentive, responsive, and cheerful, and the place exceeded what we expected from a less expensive hotel we had considered. The pool was large and clean, and the nights were quiet. We heard the mosque's call to prayer once at night, but by the second day we barely noticed it. The beach and sea were very clean, though the hot stones and rocky seabed mean special shoes are useful, as they are almost everywhere. It's an easy 10-minute walk to the main beach, and the bus stop for Fethiye and Upper Oludeniz is close. A pharmacy and restaurant are right next door, with more cafes and shops on the main street. Our room was clean and cozy, with regular cleaning. Breakfast had plenty to fill us up, including eggs, omelets, pancakes, and often fruit like watermelon and cherries. We never left hungry.

Our Agoda booking turned out to be for Belcehan Beach, a similarly named hotel on the same street, even though we thought we had booked Belcehan Delux. Reception said this mix-up happens repeatedly, so I don't understand why nothing has been done to prevent it. After a long, tiring day of travel, we spent two hours acting as the go-between for the hotel and Agoda. We were told the manager said there was little they could do, which wasn't helpful. Agoda likely deserves much of the blame, but the hotel handled the situation poorly for people who could have been potential guests.
